The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) joins the whole world in the observance of this day as we advance the rights and welfare of the Persons with Disability (PWDs).
PWDs across the Bangsamoro region particularly those who belong to the indigent, vulnerable, and marginalized sectors are some of the priority clients of MSSD’s services under its Older Persons and Persons With Disability (OPPWD) Program.
MSSD’s OPPWD Program caters indigent PWDs through provision of assistive devices, financial assistance lodged through the “Kalinga Para sa May Kapansanan Program”, seed capital fund for livelihood assistance through the โBangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan Programโ, hospital and medicine assistance through the โBangsamoro Critical Assistance for Indigents in Response to Emergency Assistance (B-CARES) Program”, and other social interventions upon qualifying and meeting the prescribed program criteria.
