LANAO DEL SUR โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), in collaboration with the municipal local government units of Lanao del Sur province, organized simultaneous Pugay Tagumpay graduation ceremonies for exiting beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) on June 6, 2023. Former 4Ps beneficiaries from the municipalities of Maguing, Bubong, Saguiaran, Marantao, Poona Bayabao, Tagoloan, Balindong (Watu), and Tamparan attended the event.
Dubbed as Pugay Tagumpay, this graduation ceremony of 4Ps aims to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable milestones and accomplishments of household beneficiaries in enhancing their lives, particularly in terms of the well-being, health, nutrition, and education of their children.
The Ministry will continue to closely monitor these families to ensure that they can sustain the level of well-being they have achieved after completing the program. By providing continued support and guidance, the MSSD aims to assist these individuals in their journey towards self-sufficiency.
Since its establishment in 2008 as the Bangon Pamilyang Pilipino Program, the 4Ps has served as a vital human development measure of the Philippine government. It provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, aiming to improve the health, nutrition, and education of children aged 0-18.
The Pugay Tagumpay ceremonies not only celebrate the achievements of the beneficiaries but also highlight the significant impact of the 4Ps on their lives. Through this initiative, marginalized households have been given the opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty, paving the way for a better future for themselves and their communities.
