MSSD is closely monitoring the situation in Maguing, Lanao del Sur after law enforcement operations and close air support from the military started at 2:00 am today.
As of Tuesday (March 01, 2022), initial reports from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), and MSSD’s Municipal Social Welfare Office (MSWO) in Maguing show that there are 802 households from 7 barangays affected.
MSSD’s MSWO is coordinating with the local DRRMO for the disaster response intervention.
MSSD is ready to provide life-saving humanitarian assistance for civilians affected by the on-going military operations.
