MSSD Minister Atty. Raissa H. Jajurie and Bongao Mayor Jimuel S. Que led the distribution of the financial assistance for the fire victims this afternoon in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
The victims lost their homes and sources of livelihood when a huge fire ravaged the Bongao Public Market on 20 May 2022.
MSSD is currently distributing cheques equivalent to PhP 10,000 each for 148 jualmurahan (ukay-ukay vendors), and PhP 5,000 each for 24 sidewalk vendors.
The remaining 172 vendors will receive their financial assistance in the next few days.
This is part of MSSD’s program, Bangsamoro Critical Assistance for Indigents in Crisis Situations (Bangsamoro CARES).
