𝟐𝟐𝟐 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 TAW-TAWI – Another set of returning Filipinos from Sabah (ReFS) arrived in Bongao Port on 18 January 2024, where MSSD field workers in collaboration with Bangsamoro Port Management Authority (BPMA) assisted their safe returns to their families. Aside from the immediate needs like food and welfare goods, the 222 ReFS were profiled to assess their comprehensive needs, especially the tracing of their family members. They also received mental health and psychosocial first aid to ensure their well-being and address potential trauma. Other ReFS stayed in the temporary shelter in the province while the process of family-tracing was ongoing.
