The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) has been providing assistance for fire victims across the Bangsamoro Region.
Recently, a fire victim from Barangay Fort Pikit in Pikit in the Special Geographic Area (SGA) received cash assistance, rice, and a hygiene kit on 26 August 2021.
On the same day, another fire victim in Brgy. Mable, Malabang, and Lanao del Sur also received immediate assistance from MSSD.
This is part of MSSD’s Bangsamoro Critical Assistance for Indigents in Response to Emergency Situations or Bangsamoro (CARES) Program. Eligible beneficiaries of the program include families or individuals whose houses were burned or damaged by reasons beyond their control. (Lyca Therese Sarenas, MSSD BARMM)
