MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR – The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted a simultaneous payout for the 294 indigent clients on October 19, 2023, at the municipal gymnasium in Brgy. Manungkaling, Mamasapano, Maguindanao del Sur.
Among the recipients, 281 indigent persons with disabilities (PWDs) received PhP 3,000 worth of financial assistance each for their monthly subsidies for the first semester which covers the months from January to June. This is under MSSDโs Kalinga Para sa May Kapansanan Program, which provides a PhP 500 monthly cash subsidy to eligible indigent PWDs intended for their medical and daily needs.
Meanwhile, 13 displaced families received PhP5,800 through MSSDโs Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA). The said assistance is intended for the repair of their houses that were destroyed during the typhoon.
