NORTHERN KABUNTALAN, MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through the Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens (SPISC), carried out a two-day payout at the covered court of Barangay Tumaguinting from August 22-23, 2023.
A total of 1,392 beneficiaries each received P3,000, covering the period from January to June 2023.
The Ministry was able to reach all indigent senior citizens in the area, including those who are bedridden, in cooperation with Northern Kabuntalanโs local government unit (LGU), Philippine National Police, Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), and designated MSSD workforce.
The SPISC, commonly referred to as SocPen, is a nationally funded program that offers P500 monthly assistance to eligible indigent senior citizens, aiming to support their basic needs.
