MALABANG, LANAO DEL SUR โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted a two-day training on August 02-03, 2023, for the 266 para-social workers deployed in Lanao del Sur-B. The training aimed to equip them with essential skills and knowledge for the effective implementation of the Ministry’s programs and services, especially in disaster response.
The highlight of the event was the introduction of the Internally Displaced Persons Profiling and Response Tracking (iPART) System โ a new system developed by KoBoToolbox. This innovation aims to enhance the profiling and validation processes in the field during humanitarian crises.
The Ministry also provided the participants with grab bags containing essential items needed during emergency situations.
At the conclusion of the activity, the parasocial workers reaffirmed their oath of responsibility as the Ministry’s partners in delivering its programs and services to the indigent and vulnerable sectors.
The event was led by Racmah Abdula, Chief of the Disaster Response Management Division, along with resource speakers Ms. Hayanifah G. Maca-angga, Ms. Sandra Gani, Ms. Venus Lozano, and Ms. Zenaida Ogka.
The same training will be conducted in the coming months for the rest of the parasocial workers in different parts of BARMM.
