DATU MONTAWAL, MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through its Bangsamoro Critical Assistance for Indigents in Response to Emergency Situations (B-CARES) Program, released the cash assistance for 63 internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Barangay Talapas on July 17, 2023.
The subsidy, amounting to P10,000 for each IDP, is an additional intervention from the Ministry aimed at aiding them in purchasing essential items for their families as they continue to recover from the incident.
MSSD-BARMM has initially provided these IDPs with relief goods immediately after their evacuation from their residence due to an armed conflict in their community last January 2023.
The 63 IDPs who received the cash assistance yesterday are among those who were heavily affected by the incident, which caused a fire that brought significant damage to their homes, leading to their displacement.
