SPECIAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted a relief distribution to assist 2,429 households affected by the recent flooding in barangays Balong and Barungis on July 07-08, 2023.
A total of 1,241 families from Barangay Balong and 1,188 families from Barangay Barungis received a family food pack consisting of 25 kilograms of rice, 12 canned goods, and 12 packs of instant coffee.
These two barangays are among the 21 severely affected areas in the Special Geographic Area (SGA) due to consecutive heavy rainfall resulting in widespread flooding.
