MAGUINDANAO โ In response to the recent heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding, relief distribution operations were conducted in the municipalities of Kabuntalan in Maguindanao del Norte, and Datu Montawal and Paglat in Maguindanao del Sur on June 24, 2023.
A total of 243 households, severely impacted by the flooding, received assistance from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), in collaboration with parasocial workers, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and the concerned rescue teams.
The relief efforts aimed to address the immediate needs of the affected households, providing them with essential food supplies, including 25 kilograms of rice, canned goods, and instant coffee.
Similar relief distributions are planned for other affected municipalities to extend support to the identified families in need.
