MARAWI CITY, LANAO DEL SUR โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) launched the payout of honorarium for child development workers (CDWs) assigned in Lanao del Sur A earlier today. A total of 151 workers from 151 child development centers (CDCs) and supervised neighborhood play (SNP) facilities in 17 municipalities of the province received P6,000 each, representing their first quarter honorarium.
Meanwhile, the Ministry plans to hold a ceremony in the coming weeks to formally acknowledge the contributions of both registered public and private CDCs in Lanao del Sur A.
The provision of monthly honorarium for CDWs is part of the Ministry’s Early Childhood Care Development (ECCD) Program, which is implemented through the Children and Youth Welfare Development Program (CYWP).
The CDWs are responsible for providing essential care, support, and educational guidance to children in CDCs and SNPs. They play a vital role in ensuring the overall well-being and development of the children under their care. CDWs facilitate learning activities, promote early childhood education, foster socialization skills, and create a nurturing environment that encourages the holistic growth of the children. They also collaborate with parents and guardians to enhance parenting skills and promote family involvement in the child’s development.
Among those present during the activity were LSA PSWO Bai Yasmira Naga Pangadapun, DRMD Chief Hasim Guiamil, and other social workers from MSSD-LSA.
