LANAO DEL SUR โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) recently conducted the distribution of food supplies for indigent daycare learners in the municipalities of Taraka, Tamparan, Mulondo, Poona Bayabao, and Masiu from May 2-9, 2023.
This initiative is part of the 12th cycle implementation of the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP), which aims to address the nutritional needs of children enrolled in child development centers (CDCs) and Supervised Neighborhood Plays (SNPs).
Prior to the distribution, MSSD-BARMM social workers meticulously inspected the goods to ensure their quality and compliance with program standards. The distribution will continue until all targeted CDCs and SNPs in the area are reached.
The Supplementary Feeding Program plays a crucial role in addressing malnutrition among young children, especially those residing in disadvantaged areas. Adequate nutrition is fundamental for children’s growth, development, and their future success in school and life.
Through programs like the SFP, the Ministry aims to ensure that every child in the BARMM receives the proper nutrition they need to grow and thrive.
