MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR โ Continuing with the 12th cycle implementation of the Supplementary Feeding Program, the Ministry of Social Service and Development (MSSD) delivered nutritious food packs to 1,293 indigent learners in the municipalities of Datu Montawal and Pagalungan on March 12, 2023.
Each pack contains 20 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of sweet potato, 1 kilogram of glutinous rice flour, 1 kilogram of green mung beans, 1 kilogram of brown sugar, 1 liter of cooking oil, 3 chayotes, 2 apples, 250 grams of dried anchovies, 300 grams of noodles, and a dozen eggs.
The Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) is a nationally funded program that provides food for children aged between 2 and 5 years old who are enrolled in Child Development Centers (CDCs) or supervised neighborhood play areas. This ensures that indigent daycare learners in the region have access to healthy and balanced meals, which are essential for their growth and development.
