The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through Minister Raissa H. Jajurie, swore in newly-hired and promoted employees on 9 January 2023 in Cotabato City.
“A total of 124 recently appointed employees assigned at different municipalities of Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Special Geographic Area, and regional office took oath of office”, said Paola Evalyn L. Ansao, Supervising Administrative Officer. Meanwhile, the employees from island provinces joined the said event through virtual meeting.
In her message, Minister Jajurie emphasized that BARMM, being the poorest region in the country, needs public servants who are faithful to their obligations and responsibilities.
“We aim to contribute to the betterment of this statistics through the works that we do for the community. For our institution to faithfully deliver its mandate, it needs employees who possess integrity, excellence, and passion for work” said Minister Jajurie.
To remind them of the important principles that they should uphold while they are in service, orientations were also conducted for all the newly-hired employees, both regular and contract of service workers. Atty. Yasmin M. Abdulkarim of Civil Service Commission (CSC)-BARMM discussed the significant provisions of Republic Act No. 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees), while Chief of Staff Lyca Therese M. Sarenas and DRMD Chief Hasim Guiamil gave an overview of all the various programs implemented by the Ministry. Sheikh Abu Huraira Udasan also discussed and led the oath-taking on Moral Governance.
