TANDUBAS, TAWI-TAWI โ As part of the National Children’s Month celebration (NCM) in BARMM, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) through its provincial office here, conducted an outreach program and distribution of birth certificates for 100 Sama Bajau children on 22 November 2022.
Each of them received their own birth certificate, a shirt, hygiene kit, school supplies, and foods from the ministry.
Through the Child and Youth Welfare Program (CYWP) of the Ministry, the said children availed of the free live birth registration conducted here from August to September. This is to help the unregistered indigent children establish their birth so they can avail the government services and programs available for them.
This activity was also conducted to help the children recover from the impact of Typhoon Paeng in this province.
Present during the program were Municipal Administrator, Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR), staff of Municipal Social Welfare Office, representatives from Philippine National Police, and para-social workers.
Consistent with the theme “Bangon Batang Bangsamoro”, MSSD has conducted various outreach programs in other provinces of BARMM in commemorating the NCM.
