UPI, MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE – Field social workers of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted simultaneous mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for the internally displaced families temporarily staying at the evacuation centers in Upi, Maguindanao, and Cotabato City yesterday, November 4, 2022.
Heads of the displaced families underwent psychological first aid while their children went through play therapy and visioning activity.
Meanwhile, on October 31, MSSD also facilitated similar MHPSS activity at the evacuation centers in Broce Elementary School, Brgy. Semba and Brgy. Badak, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
Moving forward, MSSD will conduct case management for displaced families.
