Three hundred forty (340) indigent residents of Brgy. Buton, Hadji Mohammad Ajul, Basilan finally availed their free birth certificates earlier today, September 22, 2022 during the ceremonial distribution program held at the municipal hall of the said local goverment unit.
With birth certificates as part of the major documentary requirements in applying
for different social interventions both from the public and private sectors, the said recipients can now have easier access on these services.
This intervention is due to the collaboratove efforts of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), UNICEF Philippines, and UNHCR Philippines along with the local civil registrar’s office of Hadji Mohammad Ajul.
