In the continuous implementation of the Republic Act 10868 also known as the Centenarian Gift Law of 2016 which honors and grants additional benefits to all centenarians throughout the country, sixty-eight elderly aged 100 years old and above individually received Php 100, 000 cash grants from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) through its Lanao del Sur A Provincial Office in the municipalities of Lanao del Sur on February 2 – 5, 2022.
The recipients were from Masiu, Maguing, Kapai, Tugaya, Poona Bayabao, Saguiaran, Piagapo, Balindong, Marantao, Taraka, Mulondo, Bubong, and Ditsaan Ramain.
Meanwhile, on January 31 – February 1, MSSD Lanao del Sur B Provincial Office also released similar financial assistance to eight (8 ) centenarians in the municipalities of Kapatagan, Lumbayanague, Sultan Dumalondong, Lumbaca Unayan, and Lumbatan.

for Indigent Senior Citizens (SocPen) Program personnel personally handed over the cash subsidy to the elderly recipients to visit and check their conditions as well.
Prior to the release of the said grants, MSSD field workers conducted thorough validation and case management.
MSSD will continue validating and monitoring centenarians in all the municipalities across the Bangsamoro region to further identify eligible recipients.
