The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) joins the Muslim Ummah in the observance of the 𝗔𝗹-𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮’ 𝗪𝗮𝗹-𝗠𝗶’𝗿𝗮𝗷 also known as the miraculous night journey of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Masjid Al-Haram to Masjid Al-Aqsa, his meeting with Allah SWT, and his ascension to the seven stages of jannah.
This significant Islamic day is recognized by the Philippine Government by virtue of Article 169, 170 and 172 under the Presidential Decree No. 1083, otherwise known as the Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines and Civil Service Commission Resolution No. 81-1277 as a non-working holiday.
