COTABATO CITY — MSSD distributed business capital to eight ( 8 ) Persons with Disability (PWDs) earlier today at the regional office.
According to the beneficiaries, they are planning to build a massage clinic in the city, wherein they can provide massage services to their clients. They will do this through combining the PhP 15,000-business capital that each of them received. As of writing, the beneficiaries have created a business plan, which include the list of materials and equipment they need to start their business.
The Ministry also recognized the coordination spearheaded by Mr. Asnin Pendatun — Cabinet Secretary of Bangsamoro Government, who recommended the inclusion of the PWD massage therapists to Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan (BSK) Program, under the Older Persons and Persons with Disabilities Welfare Program (OPPWDWP).
The BSK program provides livelihood assistance grant to indigent beneficiaries, who have no source of income, especially for those who are having difficulty in reviving their livelihood, which was affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
MSSD Minister Atty. Raissa H. Jajurie and Ms. Sandra Macacua — OPPWDWP Regional Focal Person joined the short program and distribution of cheques.
