Hadji Panglima Tahil, SULU — MSSD distributed 10 kilogram-rice assistance to 510 indigent Badjao families in barangays Pag-asinan and Bangas in this municipality under the “Ayudang Pantawid Gutom Alay sa mga Badjaos” program of the Ministry on July 2, 2022.
The rice assistance is given to the beneficiaries to augment their need for basic necessities amidst the rising price of goods in the market. Moreover, the rising fuel prices also forced the fishermen in these barangays to leave their boat on shore for days at a time, thereby losing their income.
This activity was conducted in coordination with the LGU and BLGU of the areas concerned.
