A total of 50 child development workers (CDWs) and supervised neighborhood play (SNP) workers individually received a Php 6,000 subsidy from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) on Monday, June 19, 2023, at the social hall of the Cotabato City Local Government Unit’s office. The cash subsidy covers their honorarium for the first quarter of this year.
The event was graced by MSSD Minister Atty. Raissa Jajurie, accompanied by Asrap Abubakar, RSW, the OIC head of the Office of Social Welfare and Development Services, and Carmen Coloso, RN, a Population Program Officer III.
“We are immensely grateful to MSSD and the Bangsamoro Government for the various forms of support they have provided us. Apart from the honorarium, we also received learning materials and outdoor play facilities last year,” said Stefanny Rose Bajet, a CDW from Brgy. Rosary Height IX.
Currently, the city has 53 daycare centers or child development centers (CDCs) and 13 SNPs, all of which are supported by the Ministry.
