COTABATO CITY โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) has recently conducted a comprehensive assessment of households affected by a recent fire incident in Rosary Heights 7. This assessment is in preparation for the distribution of additional assistance to the affected families.
Those belonging to severely impacted households will receive Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA) amounting to P30,000 from MSSD. Additionally, families whose houses suffered major and minor damage will receive P20,000 and P15,000, respectively. The Ministry will also provide P5,800 each to families who are renting their shelters.
According the assessment conducted on September 15, 2023, a total of 42 households are found to be eligible to receive the ESA.
The activity was carried out in collaboration with Cotabato City’s Social Welfare Department, the barangay local government unit (BLGU) of Rosary Heights 7, and social work interns from Cotabato State University.
Previously, the Ministry, in partnership with the Office of Member of Parliament Hashemi Dilangalen, provided relief goods to fire-affected households in the barangay on September 09, 2023.
This initiative is part of the Ministryโs Emergency Assistance Program, aimed at ensuring the welfare of those affected by disasters and crises.
