MARAWI CITY, LANAO DEL SUR โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) officially acknowledged the improvement of well-being of the 300 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries from 39 municipalities of this province and Marawi City during the โPugay Tagumpayโ ceremony on 29 November 2022 at the Provincial Hall Gymnasium.
This event, led by LSA PSWO Bai Yasmira Naga Pangadapun and LSB PSWO Bai Linang Pangkat, also officially endorsed the graduates to their respective Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs) to ensure that they are guided during the transition phase. Furthermore, each graduate received a PhP 15,000-grant from Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) to augment their business capital.
During the event, the some of them displayed their locally made products in an exhibit to promote their livelihood, which they gradually built throughout the course of being beneficiaries of 4Ps. Some of them also paid homage to the Meranaw culture through their performances.
In her message, MSSD Minister Raissa H. Jajurie congratulated the participants for being among the beneficiaries who reached the level of self-sustenance after undergoing the this program of the government. She also reiterated that the partnership of the BARMM government with them does not end with their graduation because the Ministryโs programs are there to assist them, especially on their childrenโs education and nutrition.
“The word ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ธ๐ช๐ฅ signifies that the 4Ps program is essentially a bridge, which leads each household beneficiary to a more sustainable and better life. It also trains and encourages them to be wiser in using the cash assistance, especially for their children’s education and nutrition,” Minister Jajurie emphasized.
A total of 8, 538 households in this province, including Marawi City, are expected to officially exit from the 4Ps this year.
Present during the ceremony were Governor Mamintal โBombitโ Alonto Adiong Jr., Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Adiong, Deputy Chief Minister Ali B. Solaiman, MSSD Chief of Protective Services and Welfare Division Hadja Meriam K. Abdulkasan, Regional Program Coordinator Muntazar Mukaram, 2nd District Board Member Fahad M. Arimano, Local Chief Executives (LCEs), LGU representatives, 1st and 2nd District superintendents, and Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) representative.
