BONGAO, TAWI-TAWI โ A total of 250 indigent women and children received family food packs and hygiene kits from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) Tawi-tawi Provincial Office in a joint medical outreach program with the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of the Ministry of Health (MOH) on May 21, 2022, in Sitio Patal, Brgy. Karungdong, Bongao, Tawi-tawi.
MSSD also provided maternity kits to 33 pregnant women.
The IPHO Tawi-tawi organized a vaccination drive, as well as free dental and medical check-ups for the women and children clients.
Meanwhile, MSSD fieldworkers facilitated basic psychosocial and mental health interventions as well as lectures on consumer rights.
The Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC) also provided an orientation on womenโs rights.
Members of the Marine Battalion Landing Team 2 (MBLT-2) were also present and provided security and transport for the said food and non-food items.
