MARANTAO, LANAO DEL SUR — As part of the recently concluded NDPR week celebration, the Municipal Social Welfare Office (MSWO) of this municipality conducted payout to 184 persons with disabilities (PWDs) on July 25, 2022.
The stipend they received is under the Kalinga sa may Kapansanan program of the Ministry. MSWO will also visit the bedridden beneficiaries in the coming days to personally give them their stipend.
Both the NDPR week celebration and Kalinga sa may Kapansanan program aim to empower the indigent PWDs so they will be able to live comfortably and function as independently as possible.
