MALABANG, LANAO DEL SUR – The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) through its Malabang Municipal Social Welfare Office extended welfare goods, hygiene kits, and sleeping kits to 139 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) detained in Malabang District Jail last Saturday, October 1, 2022.
During the activity, families of the said PDLs paid visit to them.
Prior to the distribution of assistance, MSSD fieldworkers also conducted interviews and assessment of the PDLs.
“After the assessment, aside from this assistance, we will look into other possible social interventions for the families of those PDLs,” said Ibrahim Bagul Mangondato, Municipal Social Welfare Officer.
