DITSAAN RAMAIN, LANAO DEL SUR — In line with the celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, MSSD, in partnership with Ministry of Health (MOH) conducted medical mission, lecture sessions, and pediatric vaccination here on 23 August 2022.
A total of 100 women, composed of 50 pregnant and 50 lactating mothers, attended and participated in the discussion on maternal health, breastfeeding, family planning, pediatric nutrition, and mental health.
The participants were also encouraged to regularly visit the rural health unit (RHU) here for consultation and medical needs. During the event, the provincial social welfare officer (PSWO) also reiterated the educational assistance program of MSSD, which is the Angat Bangsamoro Kabataan tungo sa Karunungan (ABaKa) Program.
At the end of the ceremony, each of the participants received 10 kilogram-rice, maternity kit, and hygiene kit.
Also present during the event are officials of Ditsaan-Ramain Local Government Unit (LGU).
