PICONG, LANAO DEL SUR — MSSD distributed relief goods to 71 typhoon-affected households in Ibos Island here on 29 October 2022.
The residents lost their sole source of income (fishing), after Typhoon Paeng devastated the area. During the distribution, they received 25 kilogram-rice and food packs from the Ministry.
Meanwhile, according to the assessment of the field workers here, a total of 41 households in Barangay Maladeg also need immediate assistance. Today, 30 October, each household here will receive 25 kilogram-rice, food pack, dignity kit, sleeping kit, trapal, hygiene kit (family pack), and water container with water purification tablet.
Other affected barangays in this municipality will also receive assistance in coordination with the local government unit (LGU) and Philippine Marines.
