A total of 1,004 internally-displaced persons (IDPs) from Sharif Saydona, Maguindanao received relief assistance from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) on 17 February 2022.
Together with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) and Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs), the Ministry provides 25 kilograms of rice individually and other welfare goods.
The IDPs evacuated from their residences in barangays Ganta and Inadalan after an armed clash transpired at dawn of 11 February 2022 between the government troops and members of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF).
There are 769 households affected from Barangay Ganta and 235 households from Barangay Inaladan, according to MDRMMO’s incident report.
