BACOLOD-KALAWI, LANAO DEL SUR — The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted a payout here to provide cash assistance to 303 indigent persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the area on July 12, 2023.
To ensure that all PWD beneficiaries receive their subsidy, the MSSD social workers also conducted a house-to-house distribution for those who were unable to personally attend the payout.
This intervention falls under the Kalinga para sa may Kapansanan Program, which is implemented through the Mininstry’s Older Persons and Persons with Disability Welfare Program (OPPWDWP). The qualified beneficiaries of Kalinga are entitled to a monthly allowance of P500 to support their basic needs.
