SPECIAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA – The distribution of financial assistance to 2,273 indigent persons with disabilities (PWDs) from various clusters in the SGA is currently underway at the Covered Court of Barangay Batulawan from May 16 to May 22, 2023.
One of the highlights of the activity is the enrollment of beneficiaries in the Financial Assistance System Transformation (FAST) program. This initiative allows beneficiaries to receive their cash assistance through digital payment channels, streamlining the process and ensuring safe and convenient transactions.
The PWDs also received their official ID, which they can use to avail of discounts and other benefits as mandated by the law.
To cater to individuals who were unable to attend the venue due to being bedridden or facing mobility challenges, social workers have planned a house-to-house payout. This approach guarantees that financial support reaches every PWD, regardless of their physical limitations.
