SULU – A total of 132 beneficiaries of the Ministry of Social Services and Developmentโs (MSSD) Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program participated in a simultaneous livelihood skills enhancement workshop in the municipalities of Talipao and Siasi, Sulu, from December 5 to 7, 2023.
Among the participants, 65 were from Talipao, and 67 were from Siasi.
The workshop covered topics such as business strategy, marketing, and sales to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in their entrepreneurial journey.
Upon completing the training, participants become eligible for a scale-up phase where they will each receive an additional Php 20,000 as supplementary capital for their livelihoods. This financial assistance aims to empower them to grow their businesses and improve their economic well-being.
This comprehensive social protection initiative of MSSD aims to enhance the well-being of indigent and impoverished households in the Bangsamoro region through case management and a range of social interventions, including livelihood support, skills training, educational subsidies, and emergency assistance.
