SULTAN KUDARAT, MAGUINDANAO โ Following the heavy rainfall this week that submerged the houses of thousands of families in the low-lying areas of Maguindanao, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) continues to extend immediate humanitarian assistance in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao today, August 11, 2022.
A total of 1, 096 families in the municipality received welfare goods from the Ministry wherein 516 were from Brgy. Katidtuan, 348 were from Brgy. Bolibod, and 232 were from Brgy. Maydapa.
Each flood-affected household received 25 kilos of rice and grocery items.
โRight after the house-to-house validation, the relief distribution in Sultan Kudarat started yesterday, August 10,โ said Fauziah Ibrahim Mocsin, Municipal Social Welfare Officer (MSWO).
According to MSWO Mocsin, there will be another batch of relief distribution tomorrow for the remaining 323 families in Brgy. Kakar.
The said assistance is implemented under the Emergency Assistance Program (EAP) of the Disaster Response Management Division of MSSD.
