MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR โ On November 20, 2023, a total of 293 small-scale business owners and households in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur individually received PhP 15,000 worth of livelihood assistance from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).
Among the recipients, 175 were graduates of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), and 118 were microentrepreneurs.
Prior to the payout, the recipients underwent financial literacy training conducted by SLP field personnel to ensure that they were well-equipped with essential knowledge and skills for managing their microenterprise projects.
SLP is a nationally-funded social protection program implemented by MSSD in BARMM that aims to improve the socio-economic well-being of vulnerable households by providing them livelihood opportunities through seed capital funds and skills development.
