SULU – The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), conducted a three-day skills training for 95 beneficiaries in Parang, Sulu, from December 23 to 25, 2023.

The training covered essential topics such as basic business management and bookkeeping, financial literacy, vegetable and root crop farming, and fishery.

Each participant received a certificate and a practical training and farming kit. The kit contained essential tools such as pens, notebooks, a bolo, rake, shovel, tray, small plastic box, and tongs, which they can use for their businesses and farming activities.

This initiative aims to equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge in business and finance, contributing to the holistic growth and sustainable development of their livelihoods.

MSSD is committed to supporting the participants beyond the training. The Ministry will continue to monitor their progress and provide additional interventions as needed to ensure the success of their businesses and livelihood ventures.
