COTABATO CITY — To ensure that quality standards are followed in Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) system in the Bangsamoro region, selected social workers of Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) are currently undergoing training on the standards and guidelines on the registration and granting of permit and recognition to public and private child development centers/learning centers.
The 3-day training, which started on March 14, aims to give participants better understanding of the proper implementation of the approved guidelines to comply with quality standards for various ECCD programs implemented by the Ministry. It also aims to improve quality standards of public and private ECCD programs through, but not limited to, a registration and credential system for ECCD service providers and facilities.
In attendance are the regional, provincial, and municipal social welfare officers across BARMM. MSSD Minister Atty. Raissa H. Jajurie welcomed them and emphasized the significance of the training in implementing the Ministry’s programs for the indigent Bangsamoro learners.
The participants are expected to conduct roll-out trainings to child development workers in their respective areas of assignment after this event.
