BALABAGAN, LANAO DEL SUR — According to the initial report, over 200 flood-affected residents from Barangay Banago evacuated from their homes due to the extreme weather condition. With this, MSSD will distribute relief goods here tomorrow, 30 October 2022.
Typhoon Paeng also destroyed four (4) houses and one (1) boat in the said barangay. Out of 200 internally displaced persons (IDPs), 47 of them are indigenous people (Sama Badjao).
The residents’ main source of living is fishing, which the Ministry will consider in providing further assistance to them.
