The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) held its Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting at the Special Geographic Area (SGA) on 4-6 October 2023.
During the meeting, the Provincial Social Welfare Officers (PSWOs) from Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur A and B, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and the SGA presented their status reports, catch up plans, innovations and best practices at the community level.
Updates on finance, monitoring and evaluation, procurement, supply and delivery of goods, human resources, and social infrastructure projects were also discussed.
Action points were also agreed on to ensure that the Ministry’s social protection programs are implemented efficiently and effectively.
MSSD Minister Atty. Raissa H. Jajurie, Deputy Minister Nur Ainee Tan Lim, Director General Atty. Mohammad Muktadir A. Estrella and the senior officials from the MSSD Regional and Provincial Offices, also had the privilege to meet MSSD’s partners and beneficiaries in the newly created municipalities of Pahamudin, Kadayangan, Nabalawag, Old Kaabakan, Kapalawan, Malidegao, Tugunan, and Ligawasan during the field visits on the 2nd day of the ManCom meeting.
The MSSD management officials visited the micro-enterprises of Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro households, child development centers, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities. MSSD-assisted clients, including orphans, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and indigent students were also visited at their homes.
During the visits, MSSD clients were able to share their feedback and the impact of the various programs of the Bangsamoro Government on their lives.
