MSSD is targeting to provide at least 5,645 poor households in the Province of Lanao del Sur with improved well-being by December 2022.
This is equivalent to approximately 5% of the total number of poor households, composed of non Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and 4Ps members who are graduating from the program due to lack of eligible children between 0-18 years old.
The target households that will be enrolled under the Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro were identified based on the poverty incidence of the area, and the results of the social welfare development indicators (SWDI) survey that determines the level of well-being of the respondent’s household.
The Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro households shall be case-managed by MSSDโs social workers and shall receive a set of interventions – skills training, livelihood seed capital, monthly rice subsidies of one 25 kg sack each, and medical assistance during emergencies – to ensure that these families move from survival to subsistence, and from subsistence to self-sufficiency levels.
Under MSSD’s Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan and the Sustainable Livelihood Program, the Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro enrollees shall receive livelihood seed capital equivalent to PhP 15,000 each to assist in the householdโs economic recovery and rehabilitation.
If the household has eligible college-level students, they may also qualify for the PhP 10,000 educational assistance under the Angat Bangsamoro: Kabataan Tungo sa Karunungan Program (ABK).
The MSSD LSB Provincial Office also distributed the grants for 38 high school students and 38 elementary students who received PhP 1,500 and PhP 1,000 each respectively, under the ABaKa Program.
Fourteen orphans who are case-managed by MSSDโs social workers received their monthly subsidies of PhP 10,000 each for the months of October and November.
Eighty-six orphans received a one-time cash assistance of PhP 5,000 each under the Ministryโs ๐๐๐ฝ๐ธ๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ.
The Kupkop Program or the financial assistance for orphans provides orphaned children with the chance to have better conditions in life by addressing their basic needs for food, clothing, good health, and education.
