The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through its field workers under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), recently conducted monitoring of the microenterprises of 28 livelihood beneficiaries in Siasi, Sulu, on October 5, 2023.
These SLP beneficiaries were among the program’s participants who individually received PhP15,000 worth of Livelihood Assistance Grants (LAG) last year.
The monitored beneficiaries belong to the Samah-Dilaut community, one of the Indigenous Peoplesโ groups in the region.
During the activity, field workers monitored the current status of the program participants’ microenterprises. They also assessed the overall impact and effectiveness of SLP’s implementation in the said community.
SLP is one of the nationally-funded programs implemented by MSSD in BARMM that aims to uplift the well-being of small business owners through capability-building and the provision of seed capital funds.
