Eighteen (18) internally displaced families from Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao who are currently staying in Brgy. Poblacion 8, Cotabato City received welfare assistance from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) on May 18 – 19, 2022.
Each family received 25 kilos of rice, grocery items, and sleeping kits.
BARMM READi also provided logistical and transportation support in the dispatch of the said goods.
Prior to the relief assistance’s distribution, MSSD conducted an assessment and monitoring of their status.
Based on the assessment’s findings, the displaced families fled to the city on May 13 due to election-related conflict.
MSSD continues further validation and visitation of the families to address their other needs including proper hygiene and sanitation.
