(18 Dec 2021 | Bubong Lanao del Sur) — MSSD workers delivered relief assistance for 1,100 families in Bubong in Lanao del Sur, two days after Super Typhoon Odette (international codename Rai) hit landfall.
The municipality of Bubong was one of the hardest hit areas in the Bangsamoro Region. All the 36 barangays in the entire municipality were engulfed by flood waters by 4:00 pm of Dec. 16, 2021.
Based on the report from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), at least 4,610 families or 18,480 individuals have been affected by the widespread flooding.
MSSD and the Bangsamoro Government are prepared to conduct massive relief operations for the typhoon victims, and support the early recovery and rebuilding of these communities that experienced massive destruction.
