The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) held a four-day simultaneous training on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) operational standards for 119 Child Development Workers (CDWs) and Municipal Social Welfare Officers (MSWOs) from BARMM Special Geographic Area and Maguindanao on November 13-16, 2023 in Midsayap, North Cotabato.
The training aims to ensure the quality standards in ECCD in the Bangsamoro region are met in accordance with the new curriculum. This will provide guidance to CDWs on the guidelines for registration, granting permits, and recognition of public and private child development learning facilities.
MSSDโs support to ECCD is implemented under its Child and Youth Welfare Program through the provision of skills training and honorarium to CDWs, augmentation of learning materials and outdoor play facilities to child development centers, and accreditation.
