𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Field workers of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) along with its para-social workers, are currently monitoring and assessing the situation of households in the low-lying areas of flood-affected municipalities in Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, and the Special Geographic Area (SGA) due to the heavy rainfall yesterday.
In Maguindanao, MSSD workers have reached Ampatuan, Mamasapano, Datu Unsay, Datu Hoffer, Datu Abdullah Sangki, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Talayan, Shariff Saydona Mustapha, Datu Salibo, Shariff Aguak, and Datu Piang.
Meanwhile, MSSD Provincial Offices in Lanao del Sur and the BARMM Special Geographic Area are also conducting similar assessments in the flood-affected municipalities in their areas.
In Lanao del Sur, the municipalities of Madamba, Madalum, Malabang, Bubong, Taraka, Ditsaan Ramain, and Tamparan are reportedly flooded.
In the Special Geographic Area (SGA), part of the 63 barangays in Pikit and Midsayap clusters have been assessed by MSSD workers.
MSSD is ready to complement the relief assistance from the local government units of the municipalities based on the result of Ministry’s assessment.
