SULU โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP), delivered and distributed food supplies for indigent learners enrolled in child development centers (CDCs) of this province.
A total of 5,567 beneficiaries from the municipalities of Patikul, Jolo, Indanan, Maimbung, Parang, Luuk, Talipao, and Tapul received food packs containing essential items such as rice, sweet potato, glutinous rice flour, green mung beans, brown sugar, cooking oil, chayotes, apples, dried anchovies, noodles, and eggs. Prior to distribution, the Ministry’s field workers ensured the quality of the food supplies by checking expiration dates, packaging conditions, and conformity to standards.
The SFP, a nationally funded program, aims to provide nutritious meals to children between the ages of 2 and 5 who are enrolled in CDCs or supervised neighborhood play areas. This initiative helps ensure that indigent daycare learners in the region have access to well-balanced meals, promoting their growth and development.
