LANAO DEL SUR โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) provided food supplies to 1,392 indigent daycare learners enrolled in child development centers (CDCs) and supervised neighborhood play (SNP) facilities in the municipalities of Piagapo and Saguiaran.
Each beneficiary received a package consisting of 20 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of sweet potatoes, 1 kilogram of glutinous rice flour, 1 kilogram of green mung beans, 1 kilogram of brown sugar, 1 liter of cooking oil, 3 chayotes, 2 apples, 250 grams of dried anchovies, 300 grams of noodles, and a dozen eggs.
This is under the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP), which aims to provide food for indigent 2-5 year-old children who are enrolled in CDCs or SNPs.
The provision of nutritious food supplies is essential in ensuring that indigent daycare learners in the region have access to healthy and balanced meals, which are crucial for their growth and development.
