Maguindanao — MSSD social workers in the Special Geographic Area (SGA) office conducted counseling to nine (9) internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Barangay Balong on 17 June 2022 who were recently affected by armed conflict.
Counseling of IDPs can help in their immediate healing towards rehabilitation and may lead to positive change in behavior despite the crisis.
Each IDP is also provided with 25 kilogram-rice, 1 box of food pack and 1 box of sleeping kit.
MSSD will continue to monitor the IDPs, who have fled their homes, and evaluate their immediate concerns that may arise
